The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) has been announced as an Excellence Awardee for the Australian HR Awards 2024. This award recognises the achievements of human resources professionals, teams and employers at a national level.
AFCA was announced as an Excellence Awardee in three categories:
- Australian HR Team of the Year
- Employer of Choice (Public Sector & NFP)
- Best Health & Wellbeing Program
In the past 12 months, AFCA has embedded its Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy and made significant progress towards its three-year action plan. AFCA also announced enhancements to leave entitlements such as paid parental leave, flexible public holiday leave and Women’s+ Health Leave, which is available for fertility care, among other things.
In addition, five Employee Resource Groups have been established to help foster the sense of belonging among AFCA’s people, particularly those with disabilities, individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, women and those with family and carer responsibilities.
AFCA congratulates the other shortlisted awardees and looks forward to attending the Australian HR Awards 2024 gala dinner on 13 September, where the winners will be announced.
