In celebration of National Families Week, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) is proud to share that it has been certified as a Family Friendly Workplace.
This significant achievement recognises AFCA’s commitment to delivering equality, inclusivity and wellbeing outcomes for its people and their families, by working within a framework and set of National Work and Family Standards developed by UNICEF.
“At AFCA we recognise and celebrate all families and offer our people a number of family friendly benefits to help them balance work and family life,” AFCA Chief Ombudsman and CEO, David Locke said.
“I am delighted for AFCA to be recognised in this way."
This certification also acknowledges AFCA’s commitment to delivering best practice family workplace policies, and is a key component of its recently launched Diversity Inclusion and Belonging Strategy and Action Plan.

About AFCA
The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) is a non-government ombudsman service providing free, fair and independent help with financial disputes. It is a one-stop-shop for consumers and small businesses who have a dispute with their financial firm, over things such as banking, credit, insurance, advice, investments or superannuation. Where an agreement cannot be reached between parties, AFCA can issue decisions that are binding on financial firms.
