From 26 June 2020, AFCA determined to cease dealing with MCR Partners for a 15-month period as a result of MCR's conduct. MCR challenged that decision in court.
During the course of the legal proceedings, MCR and AFCA reached an agreement to abridge that timeframe, which has been in place for almost six months.
From 24 December 2020, AFCA will register complaints lodged by MCR and its related entities under certain conditions. These include MCR and its related entities meeting AFCA’s expectations and standards for fee paid representatives and complying with the AFCA Rules and Operational Guidelines."
