AFCA has published an Easy English fact sheet. The fact sheet aims to improve access to financial dispute resolution for people with different levels of cognition or literacy.
The step-by-step guide helps people understand how to make a complaint about a financial product or service, the role of the financial ombudsman, and the complaint resolution process.
The fact sheet is in dot point form and has images for context.
AFCA worked closely with Scope Australia and consumer advocacy groups from around Australia in developing the fact sheet to make sure it met the needs of people with different levels of literacy and cognition.
