AFCA has opened its consultation on its proposed amendments to the AFCA Rules and Operational Guidelines.
The consultation will take place from 27 March to 22 May 2023.
The proposed changes have been developed to address recommendations made in Treasury's Independent Review of AFCA – with some additional changes to help ensure our Rules and Operational Guidelines remain accurate, up-to-date and provide clearer guidance about AFCA’s jurisdiction and processes.
All of the proposed amendments respond to feedback from AFCA’s stakeholders, including government, members, community stakeholders and AFCA colleagues, and will help AFCA to provide a world-class ombudsman service.
Resources
AFCA has published a new webpage which explains the proposed amendments to the AFCA Rules and Operational Guidelines in detail – including a consultation paper, frequently asked questions, an overview of the timeline of the consultation and implementation of changes, and an online submission form.
